FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (August 12, 2008) Today’s situation in Vietnam is indeed insecure and unstable because of the pressure set upon it by its neighboring country China. Many regions in the northern part of Vietnam have been invaded and occupied by the Chinese Communist Government, including some of the historic sites such as Ải Nam Quan, Bản Dốc Falls, Trung Sơn Hills, and such strategic islands of Hoàng Sa (Paracel Islands) and Trường Sa (Spratly Islands) with abundant natural resources, located in the South China Sea. These are some of the high valued landmarks of Vietnam that have been conquered by China. Although, the Vietnamese Communist leaders had acknowledged these losses, they had done nothing, including uniting their countrymen to protect and take back their mother’s land. The Communist leaders of Vietnam, on the other hand, are using force to control and suppress all democratic organizations who protest against them. There is no freedom of press, freedom of speech and free will of religious practice in Vietnam.
The government would imprison and/or eliminate anyone and everyone who speaks out or rebels against it. The dissidents are put on trial without a panel of jury; are convicted and sentenced by the ‘appointed’ judge(s). Ultimately, the Communist leaders have dissipated and weakened the strength and capability of the people of Vietnam. In order to face this clear and present danger, it is inevitable we have an urgent call for unity of all democratic organizations and the Vietnamese refugees who live in the states and overseas, as well as those who live in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese National Party and Government of Free Vietnam cordially invite all the media outlets and civil organizations to gather for a press conference which will take place at: Radio Free Vietnam (RFVN) - Parking Lot Tent 12755 Brookhurst St. Garden Grove, CA. 92840 Press Conference @ 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2008 Public Meeting Event @ 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (1,000 people expected) At this conference meeting, we will make an utmost important announcement within the context of our organizations to introduce the Alliance of Vietnamese People. In September of 1967 Saul Zaentz and partners acquired ownership of Fantasy Records, and in 1969 Fantasy purchased the property located at Tenth and Parker Streets in Berkeley from Peterson Trucking Company and began building the first portion of the complex that was to house Fantasy Records and included three recording studios that still stand today.
Saul Zaentz and his partners had parallel success with several films including three Academy Award-Winning Best Pictures ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,’ ‘Amadeus’ and ‘The English Patient’. In 1980 a seven story mid-rise tower was built adjacent to the existing location to accommodate, among other things, post production facilities as well as an additional recording studio.
